the
project

We were appointed by HSBC to fit-out a new bank branch in the empty shell of a former retail store, over two floors.

The new 800 square metre branch followed existing HSBC design standards but there were new features, including a modular glass security wall. To the exterior we installed a new glass frontage and corporate signage.

Inside, we installed four new secure counters to HSBC’s specification, nine self-service machines/cash dispensers, with lighting and suspended ceilings also to HSBC’s standard branch specification. The flooring in the main banking hall was light oak Amtico strip flooring and carpet was laid to the waiting areas and meeting rooms.

We created nine meeting rooms, three of which had all glass frontages featuring a unique designed manifestation. Additional open pods were installed with two customer internet/telephone stations.

The first floor featured twenty seven staff desks, new toilets, showers and a staff kitchen/break-out area. We applied new wall coverings, installed new ceilings and laid new carpets.

Our appointment included the installation of new heating and air conditioning, fresh air ventilation, all new electrics, security doors and a new sprinkler system. We also had to undertake structural works to replace the concrete beam floor with a reinforced concrete floor slab to take the weight of the new strong room.
