Murray & Willis were selected to carry out the refurbishment of Peterborough Museum & Art Gallery, a Grade II listed building. The work included the restoration of the main public areas, preparation of exhibition galleries, major structural works; complete replacement of the heating system and associated power/lighting installations.
The works were completed within the allotted four month window allowing the return of the collections to start as planned, despite the addition of unforeseen structural & cabling work.
It was refreshing to work with a building contractor that quietly got on with the job even though design changes had to be made. The quality of their work was to the highest standard resulting in a restored building that the client team are delighted with.

This was all despite the initial concerns we had, having to make last minute design changes to accommodate the low beams and to bring the roof of the extension up to our required security standards.
What was particularly amazing was the tiny number of snags on both schemes: this is definitely the 'A' team!"
